Private Airport Transfers Worth Booking
A pre-arranged private transfer is one of the smallest line items on a luxury trip and one of the most consistently worthwhile. These are the routes where it materially changes the arrival.

When it matters
After a long-haul flight. With children. With more than two pieces of luggage. Into a country where you don't speak the language. Onto an island where ground transport is informal. In the rain. At night. In short, almost always.
Routes where it consistently pays off
These are the airport-to-resort transfers we always pre-book.
- No. 01
Cancún (CUN) → Tulum / Mayakoba
The taxi rank is rough; a pre-booked SUV with child seats is a different trip.
- No. 02
Liberia (LIR) → Nosara / Santa Teresa
Two hours of dirt road in the dry season. A 4×4 driver removes the friction.
- No. 03
Palma (PMI) → Pollença
An hour of motorway and coastal road. Far easier with a driver than a one-way rental.
- No. 04
Tokyo (HND / NRT) → Hotel
Trains are extraordinary, but after 14 hours in the air a private car is the right answer.
- No. 05
Malé (MLE) → Resort
Always handled by the resort, confirm it against your inbound arrival.
How to book
Confirm vehicle type, child seats, meet-and-greet point, and a phone number for the driver. Pay in advance where possible. Tip in local currency.
