How to Get There
Cancún (CUN) is the gateway for the entire Riviera Maya. Direct flights from MIA land in under two hours, and a pre-arranged transfer takes you the rest of the way south, about 45 minutes to Mayakoba, an hour to Akumal, 90 minutes to Tulum.
A note on flights
Schedules into Cancún are dense year-round, with multiple nonstops a day from MIA. If you'd rather see options side by side, you can search flights from Miami and choose the timing that lets you settle in before sunset.
